    I would agree with Gigi.

There is a lot of vairbilty, but it also seems that we are facing a lot of the same issues.

Common theme is that there are so many variables to consider when discussing staffing/acuity.

Size of infusion suite, mix of staff (RN? LPN? APP?), level of experience, type of patients (BMT, Phase 1, solid tumor) types of treatments completed in the outpatient setting, overall operational efficiencies and interdependence with other disciplines (e.g. lab, blood bank, pharmacy), the true roles of the nurse in the area, how/when patients are scheduled. The ultimate goal is to have nurses working to highest level of license and develop a staffing model that builds efficiency while ensuring high quality and patient safety. Many sites experience the "dreaded 10am-2pm" crunch time, have multiple add on's per day which can throw a schedule off. Often schedules are tied to MD office visits which adds to the time crunch. We all seem to recognize similar challenges across the board.
